Evelina Ahonen, Immigration Consultant

Ms. Eveliina Ahonen knew from a very early age that she wanted to become a lawyer – “Most people don’t stick with their dream jobs from childhood, but rather give them up along the way. This was not the case with me. Ever since I was 8, I knew I wanted to practice law and everything I did after that was aimed at this dream”, she confessed.

However, once Eveliina earned her college diploma, she realized that she would not be able to afford law school tuition fees and living costs. Of course, her long-lasting ambition did not allow her to quit on her aspirations, so she became a very talented paralegal. “This was a temporary arrangement, just until I managed to raise enough money for law school”, she said. Unfortunately, her salary was not sufficient and her job took up most of her time.

When she looked up more solutions, she discovered the field of US immigration consultancy, as well as the fact that she did not have to undergo 4 years of study in order to become qualified for this profession. It was only a matter of time before Eveliina came across the online Justice Immigration Institute of United States and enlisted in the program herself.

Upon completing the program, she held that “this online immigration consultancy course was just what I needed – I could learn part time and, upon completion, I could become an immigration consultant myself, therefore earning my way into law school”.

Lunaliss di Giacomo, Employability Tutor

Lunaliss di Giacomo graduated from a BA program in Sociology and Social Services with an excellent academic record. She was interested in making a decent living, but more importantly in helping others achieve their dreams. When she noticed how many people have to deal with unemployment in today’s job offer market, she decided to become an employability tutor and to guide people through choosing an appropriate job and preparing for it.

“I had gained more than 5 years of experience in my field before I decided to enlist in a US immigration consultancy program. The online course was the next logical step for me, since a significant number of workers from Venezuela dream to move to the United States. Instead of outsourcing immigration consultancy for my own clients, I decided to take matters into my own hands”, she said.

It only took 5 months for Lunaliss to complete the online course in immigration consultancy at the Justice Immigration Institute of United States. Upon graduation, she not only managed to help more people immigrate to the USA effortlessly, but she also gathered enough financial resources from her work to start up her own Employability Consultancy Firm – “I am now the proud owner of my own firm, and since we not only offer employability tutoring but also immigration consultancy, our profits are quite satisfying from a professional point of view.”

Lien hua Yeong, Owner of Immigration Consultancy Firm

Mrs. Lien hua Yeong was a professor in Business and Economics for 10 years before she decided to establish her own private enterprise. As a member of the academia, she also handled many of the students who would participate in university exchange experiences at her school. Because of this and the fact that many exchanges took place with universities from the USA, Lien hua decided to take a course in US immigration consultancy and to become better familiarized with the process each student has to undergo.

“When I started tutoring Chinese students to prepare them for their student exchange experiences, I immediately noticed that the immigration procedures in the USA are no easy feat. A lot of paperwork was involved and one wrong step could postpone the whole process indefinitely. So, in order to become more qualified to help my students, I took an online immigration consultancy course at the Justice Immigration Institute of United States. In my studies, I focused on immigration policies for student and professor exchange.”

After becoming qualified to handle US immigration, Lien hua Yeong also set the foundation for her own immigration consultancy firm, with special focus on students or professors who wish to immigrate along with their families. “Overall, the online program was a great investment – I bring home a much more satisfying paycheck and I have also become my own employer with minimum risks. What more could a professional want?” she said.

James L. Brooks, Immigration Officers Supervisor

James Brooks developed a practically-oriented mindset from an early age and decided that he didn’t want to waste any more time on education than it was necessary. Contrary to what everyone else told him, James wanted to demonstrate that you don’t need to spend 4 to 8 years in college in order to succeed.

“When I was looking for jobs available without college tuition, immigration consultancy immediately caught my eye – it did not require years of training and I could become qualified over the Internet for a minimal financial investment. The paycheck was also a plus and, on top of it all, I could work in a field oriented towards helping others”, he declared.

However, since James was also interested in law enforcement, he gave up immigration consultancy and trained to become an immigration officer – “This was a much more rewarding career path for me, since I liked to maintain a good physical condition and I was also ready to put more action into my life.”

After 10 years of practice, however, Mr. James Brooks decided that it was time for a promotion. To make sure he succeeded in obtaining one, he took an online course in immigration consultancy to update his knowledge in the field. “Once I became more qualified, getting promoted to immigration officers supervisor was only a matter of time.”

Jayden Naidu, Immigration Consultant

Mr. Jayden Naidu is a successful immigration consultant at a respectable consultancy firm in South Africa. From here, he has helped hundreds of people to immigrate to the United States safely and to obtain their citizenship once there.

However, Jayden did not always work in the field of immigration. Indeed, he started his professional life as a primary school teacher in South Africa. “I loved working with children and everyone told me that I was a talented teacher, so I thought this career was the best fit for me. Nevertheless, in a few years I got married and established a family of my own. The trouble with being a teacher was that I could not earn enough money to support my wife and my children. I had to think of a new solution”, he confessed.

To supplement his salary, Mr. Naidu researched some part-time jobs that were available in his country. He settled on immigration consultancy because the training was so convenient for him – “I didn’t have to quit my job at school, which was ideal for me, since I had to maintain my old salary. I could study online, so the program didn’t interfere with the rest of my responsibilities and I didn’t have to spend enormous amounts of money on tuition fees either”, he said. As Jayden was also very good with the English language, he had no problem graduating from the online program at the Justice Immigration Institute of United States. He started by offering part-time immigration consultancy and soon earned a full-time job.

Jenny Pearson, Senior Immigration Consultant, Board Member at Paulsen Malone LLT

Ms. Pearson was already an expert in her field when she decided to join the Justice Immigration Institute of United States. What she was looking for was the mentoring of our team of world-renowned experts, recognized for their contributions in academic research and novel law issues pertaining to immigration consultancy. As a Senior Immigration Consultant herself, Jeenny knew that it would take a lot more than good performance to impress her employers and allow her to become a board member.

‘They are one of the oldest law firms in New York that deal with immigration consultancy. If I wanted to work at the same level with them, I needed to prove myself in front of people that were even better than they were’. Without much effort, Jessica managed to collaborate with the professionals at the Justice Immigration Institute and get her accelerated Professional Certificate in Immigration Consultancy in a matter of weeks. ‘I knew that the certificate would greatly improve my CV, but I needed an ace up my sleeve in case things did not go my way, so one of the professors at the Justice Immigration Institute advised me to level with them and present all of the benefits and disadvantages of not letting me in on the board’.

Even before the official deadline was up, Jenny was notified that she was the newest member of the Paulsen Malone law firm and the first woman to make it to this level in their company.

Harold Spenser, Senior Immigration Consultant at Davis Browne Campbell LTD

Harold Spenser is a non-conformist law practitioner that joined Davis Browne Campbell as an Associate Immigration Consultant. Things were going great for him until the financial crisis hit and there was no possibility to advance from his position. Switching companies was one path he could take, but this would mean starting over in a new environment that he knew nothing about.

‘I thought and re-thought my possibilities and the only shot I had was to make my employers believe that I am simply indispensable to them. On the one hand, I could obtain an official qualification as an Immigration Consultant, but on the other I needed a big case’. There were plenty of opportunities for Harold to prove his talents and before he knew it, the media was all over his case. In order to make things fair, Harold obtained his Professional Diploma in Immigration Consultancy from the Justice Immigration Institute of United States and then took on the case of a Chinese expatriate that was wrongfully accused of overstaying his visa.

‘Once I won a case and obtained positive media exposure for the company, there was no going back, they had to promote me’. Even though his employers did not initially desire to do so, Harold proved to them that he deserved the title of Senior Immigration Consultant and in a matter of weeks from his big win, he managed to obtain the office.
